Looking for an at home coronavirus test?
what it measures
We’ll test the nasal swab for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
how we collect it
Collect your shallow, pain-free nasal sample with the provided swab and ship it back to our lab to get tested.
how we determine your results
We use the RT-PCR (Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction) method and nucleic acid to look for the RNA of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in your nose. Based on the individual nasal sample, a detectable result indicates the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
when you’ll get results
You’ll get test results by email in English in the same day (if we take your sample till 14:00 p.m.), otherwise next day till 16:00 p.m.
Coronavirus Molecular PCR test at home Oikoiatriki performs programmed visits at your residence to collect the sample for Coronavirus testing.
Our effort is to avoid coronavirus spreading. It is important to test symptomatic persons in order to prevent spreading the virus, in healthy population.
The tests are:
- Molecular control (real time) RT-PCR
- Antibody control against SARS-CoV-2, IgG and IgM
The molecular test RT-PCR detects the virus in a sample from the throat or nose of a person.
Antibody testing is performed in a blood sample (2-4 drops are enough)
